    BP up every single night?
    Hi all,

I got my BP at the end of september - she has not missed a meal yet and is about 6 months old. She shows no signs of aggression and is very enthusiastic about her rat pups (just moved her up to those last week!) She's about 220 grams.

But every single night she comes out of her hide, roams around, and tries to press up the corners of the tanks. I have a ton of clips on so I'm not worried about escapes. She does this until I wake up and turn a light on in the morning.

I use a rheostat on her UTH (and verify the temps with an infrared gun- they've stayed constant within 2 degrees, around 90 degrees).
Her ambient temps are about 75 degrees and are measured by a thermometer near the bottom of the tank. Her humidity is maintained high in the day (60%), but low at night (as my repti fogger is intensely loud so I turn it off at night).

Her cold side is 78-80 degrees, but she rarely uses her cold hide.

Is this normal? I'm worried about her.

Sounds normal to me! Mine does the exact same thing. Sleep/hide during the day, roam at night. Some nights she's more active than others (and is quite inactive the night after a meal or during shed), but what you describe sounds like normal BP behavior in my opinion.

Addition: As long as she's feeding, pooping, and shedding just fine - which it sounds like she is - I wouldn't worry about it. Good job being a good parent. =)

Thanks so much! I also wanted to say I love the pics of Gloria you have - my baby, Rhea, is a butter. :)
