my ball just threw up water?
i took him out just to check on his mouth and he seemed relaxed and chillied up my sleeve so i let him be. when i put him back in his tank he started to take a look around and found his water dish that i just changed the water out of (tap water, same that i drink). he took a big drink and after about 5 minutes threw it all up. he has not eaten since about november 4th (before i got him, i have yet to feed him [offered him a mouse and he didn't take it]) do i need to get him to a vet?

Did you startle him or pick him up when this happened?

    That is strange.

I would like to hear advice from experience folks as well, just in case down the road.

i don't think so. i already put him back in the tank and i was just sitting in my chair that is next to the tank, watching him. he took a really long drink, roamed around a bit, came right up by me, and started to throw up the water. then is started to get bubbly as he kept lurching. he eventually went back into his warm hide. is there anything that could cause this? i have a vet appointment scheduled for the morning but i'm just really worried i'm doing something wrong

Im not sure I would head to the vet just yet.

It is very common for your snake to spit water back up when you pick them up or they get startled shortly after drinking. I have been drooled on many times by my bloods and ball. If it were me I would not be to worried and just keep an eye on it to see if it happens again. It may have been as simple as it drank to much and was full.

Re: my ball just threw up water?
that's so good to hear. honestly i haven't seen him touch his water at all and he seemed surprised by it being there, maybe because i just changed it he noticed how cold it was. i'll be keeping an even closer eye on him.

thank you for your help almost every day, KMG. (: i'm just trying to do my best!
