    strange noise
I was reading through some of the different threads and I am still just not sure.

I have an approx 8 year old female who we have had for about 5 - 6 years. She is in a 75 gal
tank with a male of the same size and they have been together for the 5 - 6 years with no problems.

She has been very active last evening and all day today. Last night twice I heard this noise that is like a cross of a squeak and a hiss. She doesn't lunge at anything, but she does straighten her neck. She is due to be fed but I wasn't sure what was going on. She has done it several times today a well. She is not aggressive at all and she doesn't act like she normally does when hungry. Thought about reflection in the glass from the tv, but we haven't moved her aquarium in a few years so the reflection would be normal.

Just looking for suggestions before trying to find a vet for her.

Is it possible that she has something in her nose that she can't get out? Stuck shed, substrate, etc.

Does she have any bubbles/mucus around her nose? What are your numbers for temperature and humidity?
