    Yay I got one
I hope I posted this in the right forum..

I'm looking to buy a breeding pair of kenyan sandboas in the near future. I want one anerythristic and one het anerythristic. (is 'anery' short for anerythristic?)

on another side note, how is anerythristic pronounced? lol
one more question.. is a 20 gallon long tank sufficient for an adult sandboa?

do you know on average how old they have to be before they can be bred?

A 20 long is fine for an adult Kenyan. They reach breeding size in 3-4 years, but some breeders push them at 2 years of age (with some trade-offs). http://www.kingsnake.com/sandboa/breeding.html

Jason Hess (who I got my 3 sand boas, rosy and rack from) has some Anery babies for sell and will soon be adding some het Anery babies on his available page. He may also have some adults he's willing to part with (not listed on the site). Just email him (tell him I sent ya). He is great to do business with, very professional, takes great care of his animals (I've seen his herp room) and gives you a written log of each snakes information (eating, shedding, weight, etc).

I didn't know Janson's Kenyans were so cheap! Maybe I'll be getting one not to far into the future. If I can talk my mom into it. LOL!

He does have great prices - and great quality animals. I bought my Rosy boa from him and the next day I went to a local exotic petstore and they had one that looked to be the same kind and size for 3 times what I paid. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Yes, I know. I emailed him a few days ago and already have a pair picked out. They will be shipped sometime next week. Thanks for recommending him, he's been great, and his boas are so nice.

I'll let everyone know when I get the snakes.
