    My tank is too cold.
My ambient temperature is hovering right around 78 degrees F with a heat lamp on 24/7 that has a 60 watt red night light bulb in it. I have a wire top but have put tinfoil on it to keep the humidity up. I have a UTH on the warm side and my BP has been on that side all day and night. I have blankets on the top of the tank and Styrofoam on the outside on the sides so as to insulate it a little bit. So with that bit of information what do you recommend I do because today is by far not the coldest day this winter and I am already having heat troubles so I would rather get this under control sooner than later. Any help is appreciated thank you.

As Deborah already mentioned, 78 is still good but I think I know what you're saying.

If you're worried about the temp dropping any further on a colder day or during the night, just switch to a 100 watt CHE (ceramic heat emitter). For now you can connect it to a dimmer and dim it down while it's still warm and then adjust it if you need to once it gets colder.

Mr. Misha has it right. I currently don't have heat in my place right now, what I did is put a stronger 100 watt bulb in and a light dimmer. Works like a charm. My ambient temp is between 80-84. The light dimmer I bought at Lowe's was only 10 bucks.
