My baby bp hides as soon as she realizes I've entered the room?
    Hi all,

About a month ago, I acquired my first BP - she's about 4 months old now. She's still pretty skittish when I handle her, which I figure is normal - I try not to hold her too often (every 3-4 days) so that she can acclimate gradually.

I often come home in the evening to find her exploring (and trying to escape) her cage, but as soon as she realizes I'm watching her, she'll freeze for a couple minutes and then hide. She is in my bedroom, so I would think she'd be used to my scent by now. But I never see her out when I wake up in the middle of the night either - does she hide whenever she senses I'm in the room? Is that bad for her?

    Thanks in advance!

One of mine acts sort of similar, so I guess it is normal...never really gave it any serious thought...:rofl:
