im so excited. when i got my boy Apollo on Saturday, i also held my first tarantula! it was a red knee... and wow, i couldnt believe i did it! the guy put it on my hand and it just sorta walked up and down my arm. my friend kept waiting for me to scream and drop it... but i was like sweet!!

i definately want a red knee/rose hair now. they're really cool!

Haha. I'd rather find a praying mantid in my room than a loose scorpion.

(I woke up one morning, and there was a scorpion on the wall. I had just woken up and acutally I thought it was just a spider before I put my glasses on, while still lying in bed. I freaked and ran out of the room. It was removed later. It turned out that the garage screen door wasn't closed all of the way, so that's how it got into the house. Once again when I lived in OK.)

Hehe nice Angela! Was it a red-knee he let you hold or the rosehair? My redknee just molted yesterday evening - anxious to see if it's leg III has regenerated fully but it is still hiding out and hardening up. I don't know about holding the one I have just yet - she seems to be real anxious to give me a dose of the urticating hairs anytime theree's anything in her enclosure with her. The rosehair and zebra are sweethearts though.
