    I jinxed myself with feedings
I am a fool, lol. I've been reading posts about folks who have problems with their snakes eating, and feel so cool because my Ginger loves to eat. Rats, mice, no problem.....down the hatch they go.

Ha! Apparently I jinxed myself..... Ginger is 13 months and hasnt eaten a thing in 3 weeks. Grrrrrr.....what a bummer. She was eating small rats with no problem. Now, she won't touch them. I even bought white ones instead of brown rats to see if that was the problem.

So I guess that I just have to hang out and wait for her to eat. I'm trying to feed her every weekend like I've always done. Ugh......

She's reaching a weight and size that time of year -or even just size - may be the issue.

Keep offering, but don't stress it.

Wait a few weeks before you try to feed again. This is the time of year they go off feed for breeding season.

My 16 month old male is doing the same thing. He hasn't eaten since August 25. He's healthy and he just shed last week but still not hungry. We're not even offering every week right now, just every 10 to 12 days.

She is actually more active than before......climbing and exploring a lot. She's also out of her hide a lot more.

We had a female take her first rat in about a year. Some times they just don't want to eat

I felt the same way. Our boy eats like a champ, now the last few months he's skipped a feeding here or there, we just got him on small rats. And our two newest purchases, one eats like a champ but the young one has only eaten for us once...it's so stressful especially with how young she is, she's only on pinky rats

Have you tried feeding mice? My juvie female will only take mice, and seems to only take white mice at that. Rat, no chance, brown or black mice, no chance. It's gotten to the point where I only feed her late at night because I know that she will reliably eat at that time! She is a fussy one.

We have tried hoppers, no go. And the rats are rubbed in mouse bedding first. She ate once, two weeks ago, and she didn't eat for the first few hours. We finally put her in a small box with the rat and she ate. But she hasn't done it since with repeating the box situation :(

    She's a little bitty thing. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...96d78587e5.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...0258ae9f26.jpg
