    GHI pied has no eyes!!???
I know some Pied combos can have underdeveloped eyes, but does the GHI pied have no eyes?

Some balls hatch out with no eyes, it's not a very common defect but it has happened in various morphs. It's not yet known if it's more common in ghi pied or not.

I'm not the breeder but I can't see putting that out on WOBP with no eyes..

Could be the gene, could be the genetics of one of the parents, could be the egg, could have been a problem during incubation... I guess we'd only know if we saw more GHI pieds!

Here's a thread I thought you might find interesting:

A lot of the defects on this thread come from problems during incubation, but some are genetic.

Well, he does get the credit for the world's first, and it can survive if it can eat, digest, and shed. I would never breed it or sell it though.

This snake was tweaked because of incubation. The breeder has stated that the incubator went haywire for about a week and most of the babies were born missing one eye or both, or with deformed eyes.

I hatched out an eyeless ball python before. I don't believe that it was a genetic issue, but just a fluke of incubation. None of the snakes siblings had any eye issues, even ones from different clutches in different years. The animal ate and grew just fine for as long as it was in my possession. If I remember correctly the very first hypo Mojave had eye issues as well but now you never hear about hypo Mojaves having any more or less problems then any other morph.
