    Mine do it all the time. Sometimes they are completely in the water dish too! It is a way for them to cool off.

    Generally speaking, yes, that's normal.

    It could also be a sign that your lady is in the mood to lay eggs. Hasn't been breeding, has she?

    Do you use belly heat with your tank? If so, which side. It's possible she's wrapping to thermo-regulate.

    I don't have a source of belly heat at the moment.

    Definitely hasn't been breeding. he/she (not sure of sex) has been alone since I got it, and is way too young.
