Umm...did i put the snake away?
So i was in the middle of a rack cleaning when the door bell rang. It was my landloard...(he has no clue i have a snake much less 20) so we b.s. for about half an hour. I come in the house and sit on the couch and about 15 min later the light bell turned on in my head i was cleaning racks. Run to the snake room and theres my pewter still laying in his tub on the floor.... man was i lucky. Anyone have any funny stories like this?

I left one on my scale for about 15 minutes when I had to run to the bathroom.
I think the only reason he didn't take off was because he was pooing in the bowl. :O

I was working in my office when my daughter, who was seven years old at the time, came in to talk to me.

    DD: "I think Shadow escaped."

    Me: "Why?"

DD: "She's hanging from the light switch in my room."

Shadow was a juvenile Mexican Black King.

Pick me...okay not a python escape but.............

My rats live in a room in my barn so when it is feed night I bring in the correct number and size of rats in a very large sterilite container with a converted wire lid. So I do this like twice a week; bring in rats, feed, then bring refused back out to general population in the barn.

My daughter was 4 and like always I brought in the feeder bin. Then I went back outside to complete some tasks. When I came back in I noticed there were not as many rats in the bin that I started with. I went into my daughters room and she ran and hid in her closet and repeated over and over "I sorry I sorry I sorry". Oh no I thought. I asked her "where are the baby rats?". She proceeded to show me two hidden in a shoe box under her bed. I recounted, still one missing I said. She started again with the I sorry. Then she told me he got away! In my house! I told her to show me exactly where he got away. She said...........I forgot. Palm face. Long story short, she finally "remembered" after lots of I sorry, and tears, and I forgets. We find the small scared rat under the natuzzi sofa before any damage. He was the first to be fed. And that concludes my escape story.

I've accidentally left the lids off my garter tanks before. Never had an escape, they seem to get pretty attached to their little area. I think I could probably leave my BPs tub lid off for a day or so before she finally decided to crawl out. She'll explore like crazy once I take her out but seems to have very little interest in actually getting out herself :P

I had an open tub on top of my rack for spot cleaning and dropped the water bowl. In the seconds it took me to grab the bowl, this had happened:

Three years ago when we just got some het pieds. Me and my boyfriend never realized that snakes so small could pop open the lids. Well we came into the room and one of the het PIEDs was sitting in my my bike seat or a pack on my bike. Just chilling

I have a wc corn named Enzo who decided to escape and explore while we were on vacation earlier this year. When we got home we noticed he was missing before we had all the luggage inside. After looking around for about 30 minutes my wife decided to start looking in shoes in our closet. Enzo slithered out from under my nightstand and straight over to my wife as to say, "I noticed you guys were gone, so I went looking for you, and finally found you".
