My male just had a strange poop.
My 500 gram male just passed a weird poop, it was green and sort of dry and crunchy, not slimey. He eats a good 15% body weight meal every 5-7 days and last pooped about a week ago, I changed his tub so I figured he would at least urate. Could this just be him passing some of the rats fur ? I recently switched him from multiple pups to a single small rat. He's always had normal poops before this. Should I get tests done or am I worrying too much?

Are you sure it's poop? It sounds like it may be urates - I've seen white, yellow, and yes - green urates before. I wouldn't be alarmed if I were you.

I'm not sure it's poop, it certainly looks nothing like his normal poops. It's a bit grainy and is mostly attached to the urate, there's also a lot of liquid urine on the paper towel. I don't think I'll get a fecal done unless it happens again without him passing a good stool. Thank you. I'll be moving him to the bottom half of the rack just to be safe though. I can't completely QT him but I'll do my best to keep him separated.
