I know I haven't introduced myself or anything of the sort but I lost one of my scaly friends today. No,she didn't pass away. Rather she was stolen from my car in a Petco parking lot. I hope whoever decided to steal her takes as good of care of her as I did.

Oh wow. Have you asked the Petco or shopping center security if there's video surveillance of the parking lot area?

We asked the Petco staff and all they said is that they would keep us updated. Vague enough. I'm heartbroken over it. There were so many people I don't think asking "Hey have you seen someone with a 4 ft stolen ball python?" would work. Her cage is sitting here empty and it's so sad.

A snake in a car, in Oct., in Iowa? Was the car running?

Thank you for your concern but trust me it was plenty hot! Yesterday was a beautiful day and the temps were around 75 degrees not including the warmth that the car kept trapped in. She was plenty warm. I left my car unlocked as I usually do because generally it's a trustworthy area. I wasn't gone more then 10 minutes. Someone probably saw me put her back in her pillow case and decided to help themselves, and yes the pillow case was knotted so she didn't go anywhere herself.
