i just acquired a pair. they were given to me at my job where i pin insects but don't know anything about rearing live specimens. anyone know what to do with these. they said the female might lay eggs soon but they are on their way out. i've been feeding them apples and pears. ???

they were (and still are) a very VERY popular pet where i used to live in japan .

They sell this kind of jelly and pieces of wood to feed them, im not exactly sure what it is but i know they love it, maybe try looking for something like that.

thanks for the replies and the link. these two are great and actively climbing, burrowing, and eating the maple syrup and pears. i hope they can breed for me. i'm trying to find out just how i can have that happen.
