Hello,

ok this may seem a bit stupid but i need some help with Mystics,

i have an option to buy a 1200 gram Mystic female for 295 euro (375 US dollar) but i am not sure about the Mystic gene.

I mean ok when mixed with a Mojave you get the cool Mystic Potion, but other then that i dont realy see the Mystic. (on a side note, i am slightly colour blind).

When i take a look at a Mystic Pastel they kinda look the same to me as a Pastave and so on.

Well i guess what i am actually asking is;

can any one pls name me some morphs wich realy show what Mystic does?

i realy would like to know cause i also have an option on a 1100 gram spider female for 150 euro (190 US dollar) so i have to make a choise.

Get the mystic....look on WOBP for combos. Super Mystic Spiders are really cool.

I also have a hard time picking out mystics/phantoms unless they're in combos, and I'm not color blind.

They are leucistic with mohave, lesser, etc. so if you want to be certain that you're getting the mystic gene, look for a mystic potion, lesser mystic, etc.

well i am sure that the animal he offers is a Mystic, I know the guy and i have bought animals from him in the past and he was always there if i had questions or couldnt get any rats for my snakes or whatever problem i had.

i was just wondering if Mystic would be a good gene to get as i dont realy see it apart from what it does when bred to a Mojave, the mystic potion.

the same guy also has an 3000+ grams proven female spider for 250 euro (320 dollar). so i am realy stuck now between choosing the 3000+ grams spider female for 320 dollar or the 1200 gram Mystic female for 375 dollar.

not thinking about the 1100 gram spider anymore already called that guy i didnt want it.

The cool mystic combos are primarily super mystics combos. Mystic crystals are also really cool, and you get some interesting results when bred to other, more "diluted" BEL complex genes like russo, mocha, ect

keep in mind the spider female is already 3000+ grams and the mystic only 1200 grams

seems to me like there is more possible with spider then with mystic but then again, everything has already be done with spider.

Check out the mystic black pastel.

spider you can mix with anything, and get spider + what ever it was....
mystic does sorta limit your options on what you can mix it with to get something noticeably different than what ever you mix it with, but then again, when you do mix it with that other thing that it mixes well with, it is really cool! :)

so, do you want a lot of good breeding options (spider)
or a few great ones (mystic)

at least how I see it :)

also keep in mind this is a girl, so you will only get one breeding from her a year at most, so you may not need so many options. What I mean is, if you had a mystic boy, you may not have 3-4 good females to put him with. If the spider was a boy, then you can put him with many different females, and not have to be "limited". So being a little limited with a female is not as bad to me.

don't forget to put the most weight on WHAT YOU LIKE! You already said you don't care for the mystic, so it is really just for the potential of mixing with something else (which means that if you mix it with another single gene animal, you will only get about 25% of something you care about). If you like spider, and mix it with another single gene, you will get 25% of something you were trying for, but an additional 25% of spider, which you seem to like more than mystic.

And also, what males do you have? if you have a mojave male laying around, maybe you want the mystic for him??

personally I don't care for spider (just never liked the pattern), and I JUST got a 2014 mystic potion female ($500 at a local show) :)

i only have the Pastel het. piebald male at the moment because that was a couple price together with the pastel het. piebald female i have.

so yeah i am free in what males to get.

also my other question would be

is 375 dollar a good price for an 1200 gram mystic female?
