    General question
    Is it safe to use extension cords with heat mats? I know space heaters pose a danger, but what about UTHs

    uth won't be a problem, they draw very little current.

    The problem with spaces heaters is some of them are rated above what cheap extension cords can handle. A extension cord that is 12 awg instead of 14 or 16 can handle any normal space heater without issue.
