    Temp control
So I added a UTH since a lamp wasn't doing the job in my new bigger tank. I buried the probe under the hide and under the bedding. The probe is right on the glass above the UTH. The UTH heated up to over 100 f so I turned it off. I plan on getting a light dimmer tomorrow. Are there ones that I can plug into the UTH to turn down the heat? or what are some other things I can do?

When you say you buried the probe, I assume you mean you buried a thermometer probe? You need a thermostat, like this (or a better quality Hydrofarm model) to regulate the temperature of your UTH. A lamp dimmer might work, but to be honest, won't regulate your UTH temperatures as well as even the cheapest thermostat would.

Buy a thermostat itll be way more reliable than a dimmer. Hydrofarm from amazon is probably your cheapest option at about $30 shipped but a herpstat intro ($100) would be a better option from spyder robotics.

Agreed, thermostat is the only way to go. I have the big brother herpstat 4 from spyder robotics and its great!
