    Hello There...
    Hi,
I'm new here. Name's Allegory, but folks just call me Allie, and I've had George, my ball python, for about three weeks. I love him, and sort of hover-mother him at times, and noticed he's going into his first shed. I've read up on it and know to generally leave him alone, but he's been staying on the colder side of his enclosure the past 2 days and I was wondering if that was normal?

I am able to manage his humidity and keep it at or just above 56%. I checked the leads on his temps and for some reason, the hot side does not go below 98 degrees, but when touching it, it feels room temp. I've got an UTH and a thermostat to control it and have the thermostat set to 95 but my thermometers constantly read 100 or more. So I suppose my question is, what do I do now? And is it the shedding or maybe the excessive heat, that's causing George to on the cold side?

    Thanks in advance y'all,
    Allie

One under each hide, under a thin layer of paper towel and Repti-bark substrate.
