Suddenly a lethargic dragon

My bearded dragon has suddenly stopped being as active as he used to be. According to this: http://beardeddragonlovers.com/beard...gon-facts.html bearded dragons still hibernate...or rather "brummate." But i'm not sure whether they're brummating or theres something wrong. Should i be worried about this?

Can you tell us a little more about your specific dragon? Age? housing situation?

Thanks for the quick response Philip. My dragon is almost a year old now (not exactly sure), habitat has plenty of room with the proper temperatures for the cool side and basking side. Nothing has really changed in terms of feeding, i've keep him on the same diet plan. He just seems a lot less animated than usual. Any other questions, i'd be happy to answer...

Well, I can only speak as to my own experience. Ours is a little older, and it seems that once they start packing on the weight, and growing into their bodies, they lose that frantic, running around personality. Ours just lays in his basking spot most of the day, and in the evenings, just kinda collapses anywhere. Half of the time he makes it into his hide, other times not .

The only time he really gets animated, is when he suspects there is going to be some foods. Or, if the dog watched him for too long while he's basking.

All that being said, perhaps yours IS in fact going into a hibernation period. Just make sure he's happy, warm, and fed, and he should be fine!
