Keeping Animals Comfy at Expos

When you take your snakes to an expo, how do you keep their temps at an appropriate level? Or are they ok for a few hours even if the room temp is around 70*F?

We put heat tape under our display and control it with a tstat. Keeps our animals at the right temp all day.

One vendor at the last show I went to said he puts 40 hr heat packs under or behind his displays to keep his snakes warm.

Most of the tier display racks are used with heat tape.

Gotta wonder about ambient though because sometimes it's not too warm at the expos here.

I do apologize for another zombie thread here folks, but hate starting new ones when a good one already exists.

Do any of you do anything for humidity? I know it can vary pretty drastically by location, but here in AZ, we have quite literal 0% humidity and I'd really hate for them to dry out too badly just being set up for 3 days. Moist towel in the bottom of the displays maybe?

In my area shows are typically only for a day so it's not a problem. Do vendors remove the animals each evening at a multi-day expo and either take them home or back to the hotel?

Also, to answer my question above, I ended up paying $40 for a massage table heating pad off of Amazon - the last show I attended was 60*F inside. The pad has an internal thermostat so I set it to the low 80's and the snakes were ok for the day. I just put the pad on the table and the table cloth over top of it.

Heat cable and thermostat are the easiest.

You just run the heat cable underneath your displays, it quick and easy and take very little space to pack.
