    Chocolate? Ivory Pastels
These three are my first Ivories (female on left and two males on right). Father is a Chocolate (Garcia line) Pastel YB and mom a YB. Being new to Ivory I'm not sure what falls in the normal range. Does the lemon yellow indicate all three are pastel? Does the dark on the side but not the top of the heads of the males indicate chocolate? Or could any of these be just Ivory?

    Thanks,

Randy, I would say that you have a Chocolate Pastel Ivory on the left and 2 Chocolate Ivories on the right. My reasoning is that the 2 on the right have a modified head pattern (darker on the side of the head, washed out in the middle) and a distorted dorsal pattern (blotchy instead of a broken pinstripe). The one on the left has the same features, but lightened up, as one would expect the Pastel gene to do. You can look at this photo album on my Facebook page to see pictures of 2 of my Graphite Ivories to compare to (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...5970541&type=3).

No problem. I just had 3 more Ivories hatch out on Tuesday. Once they shed, I'll post some pictures to this thread. For my last 2 Graphite Ivories, it took about 6 and 10 months for the Graphite flecks to come in. So, while these 3 new Ivories may be Grahite Ivories, they should look like normal Ivories for a little while.

As promised, here are a few pictures of the Ivories that I recently hatched out. This is after their first shed. The pairing was my Orangebelly (who has sired some Graphite Ivories) to an Orangebelly from AC Reptiles (sired by an Ultra Ivory).

Your Ivories have different head markings and the dorsal stripe shows some changes (especially the brighter yellow), so I still think you have 1 Pastel Ivory and 2 Chocolate Pastel Ivories.

I don't know why I typed that? I meant 1 Chocolate Pastel Ivory and 2 Chocolate Ivories. Sorry about that. Must have been a longer day than I thought.
