a little piece of eyecap

my snake had what i thought to be his best shed ever about a week ago. a couple days later i noticed a little piece of eyecap still on right in the center of his eye. i tried to do the scotch tape thing but was a little hesitant because i wasn't sure that this was really a safely approved method so i didn't try that hard and it's still there. suggestions??.....

try soaking him for a good half hour or so... then, let him go slither through a damp towel. hopefully that works :)

moisten a q-tip and gently rub it over the piece of eyecap. that may loosen it up enough that it comes off for you.

thanks for your advice. after lots of consultation i've resorted to applying vaseling over it. i think it's working. it looks like it's moistening and loosening it and hopefully he just takes it off himself.

Zen, let me know how that works (either on this forum or bluetongueskinks.net). I think it did help with Aragorn - although like I said I wasn't as deligent with doing it the 1-2 times a day. I love that pic in your avatar!
