Planning on making my own hide. What are safe materials to use?
    Hello All!
Well, my girl is just about to outgrow her first enclosure and hide. I really want to sculpt a new hide for her and am wondering what are safe materials to use. Since I do not have access to a kiln, I do not believe clay could be an option. Are there any other moldable mediums out there that are not toxic for snakes? I also want to paint the new hide but am a little wary of using stuff like acrylic or oils.

If anybody out there made a custom hide for their Bps, then please inform me on what safe materials there are to use for this project.

    Thanks!

Check out this thread on on building your own hides. It should point you in the right direction. Personally, I love my Reptile Basics plastic hides because they're easy to clean. Post some photos once you finish building your hides!
