Trading snakes?

I am seriously thinking of trading off my taiwan beauty snakes for a ball python.
I feel kind of guilty since I just bought this pair about 4 months ago. But after much rethinking I do think ball pythons are a better fit for me.They take up less room, are calm and easy to care for. I really love the tai's, they are gorgeous.But I think I like ball pythons better.:rolleyes:
I know the petstore will probably rip me off though.

Generally, you get about 50% trade value when dealing with pet stores. They buy most of their stock wholesale and usually aren't interested offering anything closer to retail value on customer trades.

I, personally, will never sell/trade my animals to a pet store.

You'd be better off trying to sell your tais to a knowledgable keeper and buying a ball python from a breeder.

With such a short period of time keeping them, try holding onto them for a while. Keepers can and do cycle through what is 'fun' and what isn't. Some times, it's nice to play with the calmness and relaxed attitudes of most ball pythons. Sometimes it's fun to play with the sassy and interactive beauty snakes.

Sit on em, give it a bit of time, see if you enjoy the display. Ball pythons are cool, but they're just one type of snake out there. Maybe after a while you'll fall back in love with them - everyone goes through phases in keeping. Don't end up like some keepers and kick yourself a couple years from now because you wished you had held on to something that wasn't a ball python. :)
