    Introducing myself and seeking advice
Hey there Im holly. I am from BC Canada and my bf and i are getting out first BP next week.

He is an enchi pastel morph and omg his coloring is amazing.

I have a 10g plastic tank for him to start out in. Im just wondering if i could still use an under the tank heating pad. also any info you may have. been doing my research and just want to double check and make sure we get all the correct equipment this weekend before we bring our boy home.

I would upload a picture of Morty but do not know how to

I'm not familiar with the housing you mention but I use heatpads underneath all the plastic tubs in my racks ( connected to a thermostat of course ).

I have the thermostat probe attached directly to the heatpad underneath the tubs - then simply adjust the thermostat until I get the desired temps inside the tub. :)

And congrats on getting an enchi. :gj:

Thanks. he is gorgeous. I dont know how to upload photos on here though to show a picture of him. I was expecting to pay minimum $200 for him. He is only $75. i was quite shocked at the low number.

Definitly use a heating element with a thermostat. We used one once without the thermostat and it became faulty and belly burned one of our snakes. Those all went in the trash after that happened.

Do i even need an under the tank heating mat? or can i just use the lights? I dont want to take the risk of it either melting the plastic tank or causing Morty any harm
