Just got back from Monty Joes Vet appointment and I am happy to announce that Monty Joe is still Monty Joe and not Monty Joanne! He weighed in at 1258 grams. He was given the once over and received a clean bill of health. The vet stated that he is most likely off feed (11 weeks now) because of being a sexually mature male in breeding season and even stated that it could last a couple of more months. She also said that all of the information that I gave her showed that all the husbandry is right on the mark. It felt good being told that I am doing everything right and that he is in very good health.

She is also a herper herself, she has a Burmese python and a Sand Boa. She aslo has a close friend that breeds corns and told me that she could get me a deal on a Blizzard Corn when I decide to go ahead and get one. So.....all in all I would say it was a great day....

Congrats to both of you Carl! Monty Joe sounds like he's beefy enough to handle a breeding fast well.

Thank's all....Now I need to get Cheetah there and find out what s/he is but I dont think s/he will be quite as cooperative as Monty Joe was. Cheetahs will make one interesting vet trip!
