Guessing Game

Noticed this little one in the yard today. Not something I see around here often so I took some pictures. I'll post the rest of them in a bit but maybe some folks would like to take a stab at the species first. Picture(s) taken in situ.

I was about to say, "Well that's just a pile of dried leaves!" until I saw the last photo there.

You can see an eye and a good bit of the head in the center of the first picture. :P

Ground Skink?

It's a mole skink - cute little things. When excited they tuck their legs and slither wildly into the debris.
