    keep the vet appointment?
I thought my one snake was having respiratory issues but was also going through a shed. He was making popping noises breathing and opening his mouth to breathe occasionally along with some heavy breathing while soaking.
He shed last night and when I brought him out he seemed to be breathing fine. I have a vet appointment Monday. I will monitor for the next two days. But would you still take him in?
Could the popping just be related to some shed obstructing a nostril?
I've just acquired this snake but it was living without heat for two months or more with the ex-owner.
He also refused to feed post shed. Is this common?

Refusing to eat and hearing pops during a shed are common. If you don't have other signs like mucus or sitting with head pointed up I would cancel the appointment. I would for sure cancel it if it takes food now too.
