Rescue

Hello this is my first post so i just wanted to show a pic of a bp i rescued about 2-3 weeks ago. When i got her you could see her whole spine and all her ribs. And i will have to see if i can find a pic of her when i got her. But ill post a pic of her progress as of yet.iihttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...9c322d32fb.jpg so yea i know i have got a lot of work to do with her but she has gone from eating whenever they remembered to buy her food to every 4-5 days and she is 18 years old. Hell she doesnt even hit the food anymore she just reaches up and i put the food head first into her mouth when she opens it up.

Just checked with the wife and no pics of her when we first got her... :(

Now that she is eating consistently, you can just feed her one appropriate prey item once a week. It'll be healthier for her in the long run to gain the weight at a more moderate pace, rather than putting a bunch of strain on her digestive system after a prolonged state of semi-starvation.

But otherwise, she sounds like she is in a great home now :)

Well we are going to be feeding her a small rat next then a medium if she is up to it next time. As far as what i have been doing has been based on the weight of a small/medium rats worth. She was just too weak to do a good size meal at first. When we first got her she was too weak to kill a fuzzy rat. But she may be able to now but its easier for both of us stress wise to just have me pre-kill her food.
