General genetics question about my Champ
So I feel like I have a very basic understanding of genetics, but I still wanted to get clarification on one of my animals. I have what was sold to me as a female champagne 66% PH albino, but in retrospect - I'm not sure how that is possible?

No matter what pairing I run through the Genetics Wizard, it seems to come up as either 37.5% het or 50% het, but maybe all of the percentages are just confusing me.

Can anyone explain to me how a champagne 66% ph albino would be possible please.

To obtain a Champagne 66% Het Pied you would need to pair Champagne het albino to a het albino at the very least.

Both of the parents were het albino, can ignore the champagne part when figuring it out since it's visual - just know that at least one of the parents was a champagne het albino.

When you pair 2 100% het albinos you will average 25% albino, 50% hets and 25% normal. So, in every four snakes we average 1 albino/2 hets/1 normal. Since the albino is visual we know what it is right out of the egg and can exclude it from the rest of our calculations. This leaves us with 3 snakes, averaging 2 hets and 1 normal. We have no way of telling hets from normals and two thirds is the same as 66% so all normal looking snakes are listed as 66% possible hets.

world of ball pythons wizard doesn't calculate pos hets.

    Male:
    Champagne, Het Albino
    Female:
    Het Albino
    Percent Fraction Traits
    12.5% 1/8 Champagne, Albino
    12.5% 1/8 Albino
    37.5% 3/8 Champagne, 66% Possible Het Albino
    37.5% 3/8 66% Possible Het Albino

Thank you for the clarification, from an ex-Michigander!
