Repti fogger + Hygrotherm combo question! :)

okay so i finally went and got a reptifogger and hygrotherm today so i dont have to worry about misting the cage all the time and monitor temps. here's the question: should my reptifogger knob be all the way up or mid-way? or low? im kinda confused on that. whats the best setting? i had it on all the way up, so when the hygrotherm would turn it on, my poor little ball was blasted with the vapor, as he was directly under it lol. i turned it down to about halfway and it comes on for a split second like it should and doesnt blast the vapes down as hard. should i turn it down lower or turn it up a little to where it blasts with enough force to get the vapes to the other side of the enclosure? sorry if this is a little difficult to understand, ill explain further if needed.
