    Question on feeding
Hiya all, just a quick question on feeding. My normal Bertha who is currently weighing in around 1800 grams usually takes 1 f/t medium rat (120-160grams) every two days.. I know a feeding machine. Well here lately shes wanting one every single day. I gave her 3 back to back and shes begging for more. I guess my question is, do I keep on giving them to her every day? Or just every other day. Don't get me wrong I love it when bp's are pigging out, but damn these big rats in her gullet are making greyhound size deuces lol, and just a little concerning seeing that much food go into one snake. Oh one other question, since Ive never breed before and shes gonna get some lovin from Butters this year could this feeding be her just trying to plump up cause love is in the air? Thanks for any advise :)

Where did you see to feed this often?

Its great your snake is eating well but there is no way if should be fed that often especially three at a time. Your overfeeding.

Feeding as you are can lead to fatty liver and other issues that could actually hurt her breeding abilities and her overall health.

My bulldog will eat all day too but that doesn't mean I should let her.

    Over feeding.
I feed mine too till they stop taking unless they are making huge poos, this is just food going to waste literally.

Thanks for the info! As shes the first bp I ever had that has such an appetite I let it roll like this for about 4 weeks with the 1 med everyother day. The 3 back to back was 1 a day for 3 days. I will absolutely drop her back to once a week. Thanks again as I really was getting concerned about the amount she was taking, as all my other bp's are only once a week. I love this site and members sharing knowledge! Thank you thank you!

Like others have pointed out, just like a dog or cat or person, just because they *will* eat enough food to get obese doesn't make it a good idea. Once a week at most, and with as much as she's recently eaten, you could probably lessen it to every 10 days without causing any problems.

    Re: Question on feeding
Have to agree that will not be good in the long run to keep feeding at that rate. Feed a medium rat once every 10 days. After they eat their little brain is stuck in feed mode so they are still on high alert and will take what ever else they can get.

Thanks for all the input/info everyone. Yea lastnight was feeding night, and she looked so broken hearted when she was skipped lol. Im cutting her down to every 10 days. Before she went into this massive feeding mode she was perfectly content with once every 7 days. Ill continue to update her appetite for those interested, again thanks everyone
