    feed at night?
pythons are nocturnal so wouldn't it be natural to feed at night? I'm not planning to ever have a commercial operation where it might not be convenient anyway. thinking maybe it would control more of a feeding response during the day. as in he eats at night and not during the day whether or not he feeds in his tank....just asking what are your thoughts?

I feed most of mine at night because it works with my schedule, I never seem to have all the feeding issues that some people talk about. My snake room is about 20' * 20' and if I only hit my backup light room is pretty dark (one 40w bulb to light that room)

Some of my ball pythons actually move around at 6 am. Sometimes I work late night and I'll be home around 3 am and they are still in their hide sleeping.

I have a normal ball I think 4 months and he had a little larger mouse than he is used to on his last feeding. I haven't seen him in a few days other than spotting him in his hide. I was told feed him in a brown paper bag. he did fine excellent. but I would like him eating in his cage and it kind of works for me.As I am just now thinking about feeding, in his tank and see if he will take it.

I now know what is going on he is fixing to shed again, second time in two weeks. His color is dull and his eyes have a hint of dull blue.thats why I haven't seen him in a few days... I went ahead and tried the mouse, took him a whole 30 seconds he took it with no problem...

I feed at night. Better feeding response then trying during the day.

I've got mine to eat at almost all times, but night would seem to coinside with more natural feeding patterns.:)

I always feed late evening. They are generally more active and alert. When i start warming up the rats all of them are partially out of the hide and super alert.

I think it depends on your snakes. Mine are used to eating around the same time every week I feed them all around mid day and they are all very consistent. Some may be better feeders at night some can eat at whatever time. Just do what works best for your snakes and for you.

I have always fed at night. I'm a night owl so it works for me and my collection. They do respond better, especially my ball, gtp, and brb. I feed in the dark and wear a red l.e.d. headlamp.
