brown Spagnum moss

I got some spagnum moss from lowes that's cheaper than the one in pet stores. But it's brown, not green, is this ok to use?

Its all the same

That's just New Zealand sphagnum. :) If you keep it just right in humidity, it turns green again. Takes a bit of time, though.
