    Is there any way i can i fix it it shows a crazy high reading or should i just buy another one?

    Did you try fresh batteries?

    Are you sure it's the temp gun and not your heat source or controller that failed?

    Does it show the same temperature no matter what spot you check in the enclosure?

    I second double checking the heat source to make sure there wasn't a thermostat failure. Does it feel hot to you? If it feels really warm, it may be too hot.

    Ya those are accurate but I have a hard time constantly moving them around. I basically only like the expensive heat lasers that you can shoot across the room. They are accurate and have a really fast response. The one that you just bought does work well though you will just have to move the probe around the tank to check temps.

    Yeah i rather have laser guns than the probes so much easier to use
