Solved mite problem fast and easy
Long story short... after I got my new Ivory home from the trade I noticed something bad... He had mites! I bought "Reptile Spray" from Natural Chemistry and "Mite Off" from ZooMed. I did 2 treatments only. The first time I sprayed the snake and rubbed it into his body while only just misting it under his chin and back of his head where I saw the others. I also cleaned his cage with this solution as well as my personal cleaning solution. I did 2 treatments 1 day apart about a month ago and I have not seen a mite since. I moved him upstairs today since I didn;t notice anything wrong and it has been a while. Has any one had problems with mites coming back after getting rid of them once?

They most likely will come back. I would get some provent a mite. I had a mite problem a couple months back i treated all my cages twice a month for two months and haven't had a problem since. Goodluck

Re: Solved mite problem fast and easy
I've treated mites only 3 times and I've never had to do multiple treatments. Each time they were years apart so it wasn't eggs hatching. I think I'm just really good at eradicating them, or I've gotten some wimpy easy to kill mites lol they have never been a big problem to me really. Once I didn't have any mite spray on me when I bought a new snake and when she arrived she had mites and when I ordered the spray it took like 3-5 days to arrive and by the time the spray got here I had taken care of all the mites with the help of the snake she drowned a lot of them in her water bowl. Idk I guess I'm just a good mite killer :P
