    Feeding time woes
I have a Kenyan Sand Boa that I adopted this year from a local pet store that couldn't take care of her as she grew from hatchling size (Their facilities are too small, the poor thing was in a tiny kritter keeper-style box!). I've had her for a while now but I still jump every time when she strikes at her food! It's not that I'm scared that she's gonna bite me or anything, I think it's just because it's so sudden.

Anyone else have this problem? :O

Nope. Longer tongs can help with that though.

I used to do that with my BPs, especially when they don't go all burmese-dino but instead when they suddenly strike like a viper or something - just when I think they aren't interested.
Using something like hemostats or tongs, as well as a proper mindset beforehand, can help with that. :)
