Ball python w/ what seems to be an injury....

I'm not sure if it's from digging or what but my youngest ball has some "damage" on his nose. Maybe I'm just worried. He looks like he may have rubbed it trying to dig. Not sure. Thoughts?

Oh yeah humidity stays between 50-60% constant. Same with all my snakes. Night temps 76-78 day temps 85-87. Just noticed it after a move from my apartment to the inlaws. Can't put a lamp on the cage because it gets way too hot during the day if I do. Will be switching to rack system this month for better control.

You use a screen top? Looks to me like he has rubbed a sore on something, like a screen top, or something in has enclosure. If that is the case just keep an eye on it so it doesn't get infected. It should heal after a few shed cycles :gj:

Yeah it's a screen top. He must be doing it when we are not around or at night.

My 3 hatchlings all have lil scabs on there nose from the rubbing... ITs quit annoying but aslong as its dry/crust not squishy/moist youll be ok it should be gone in 1-2 sheds. And he'll likely learn to stop.
