Is it ok to leave a snake alone for the weekend? I don't think it's a good idea just want to know what you guys think.

If you have a proper set up your fine. 2-3 days is nothing. Just make sure to feed 2 days prior to going. (If you leave in feed day. To make sure nothing happens. And rat is eaten)

Just feed her on Thursday. Just worrying about a shed. And trying to her temperature right.

    Oh DEFINITELY.

I mean, make sure the vive is clean, temps are superb and controlled, there's one large or 2/3 smaller water bowls (if yours is a known dish-pooper), and try to feed about 2 days prior to leaving (in case of regurges or what not).

I leave mine for 10 days - 2 weeks sometimes. About twice a year when I go to visit family up North. A weekend is no worries, in my mind. If you leave for longer it doesn't hurt to have someone come and check in once or twice, making sure temps are stable and everyone's got water.

Snakes aren't like other pets, or even other reptiles, when it comes to leaving them alone. When you get a vacation, so do they ;)

    p.s.
Every one of my 3 reptiles (2 snakes, one BTS) shed while I was away the last 2 weeks... go figure! Needless to say the snakes were pretty hungry when I got back!

I have left mine for 10 days once when i went to the cottage. We just had a friend that lived nearby come and spray the tank and refill the water ever few days. One of the (many) perks of having a pet snake [emoji2]

How do you heat and control the heat of the tank?
Do you use a UTH with thermostat, or heat tape with thermostat, or something else/multiple heat sources??

Not only are accurate/digital gauges completely necessary, so is controlling the heating for the snake! Just thought I'd add that, just in case...
