k... just curious, how long should i wait to feed Pandora a rat?? i usually do every week... the rat is the length of a dollar bill, so its like a medium-ish rat. she usually gets hungry after about... 4-5 days after eating. would it be ok to feed her every 4-5 days or so?? i dont want to over feed her, but like some one said on here (dont remember who), shes only about 1 so she's still growin :)
i fed her saturday night and tonight she's stalking me like she does when she's hungry.... so how bout it, early dinners from now on??

I'd stick to your regular 7 day feeding schedule. When she gets older and bigger, you might consider cutting it back to every 10 days. Thats a couple of years off now tho.

mkay. i feel bad, pandora acts like i starve her... pssshhh

I feed every 5 days because after four penny is upset, day 6 she is striking at everything moving. As long as she still goes poop right and is not fat then whats the problem. If she has digested everything and is ready for more lets go.

every seven days seems to work well for me
roxy comes out the night and/or morning before looking or "hunting for food.

i normally feed every 7 days, but it also depends on the last thing nellie ate. for instance, if her last meal was a smaller than normal meal than i will feed again on the sixth day, if it was a larger than normal meal i wait 10 days to feed her again. sometimes you gotta take what the petstore has in stock and just adjust your feeding schedule. i figure there's no problem with a little variety as long as you adjust for it.

oo i get my rats from the reptile show... this creepy guy has like TONS of feeders. mice of every size, rats of every size, rabbits, hampsters, gerbils.. you name it, he has it live and frozen.
his house must smell real bad..

This is kinda off topic....but i've been around some BIG local rat colonies....and its just nasty...before you get within 10 feet you can smell that noxious scent of rat urine(i guess?)
i guess when you've got a huge colony its hard to keep it smelling good. but i'll say one thing...i'd rather waste my money buying feeders, than stink up my house by trying to do it myself, lolol
