    F/T Live, Fresh Killed
    Hey All

I was just wondering if I could have some opinions on which is the best way to feed a ball. My girl hatched in December, and she's on large rat pups at the moment. I was wondering if I could get some pro/cons on each of the different types of food, F/T, live or fresh killed, and which overall is the best to do?

I like F/T the best, it's the safest and you can stock up on a good supply and keep it in your freezer.

F/T for me too. More convenient. Same nutritional value as the other methods.

    Feed what works.

I feed my BP live because for me it is more convenient.

F/T for me. I would have a hard time with the killing. Also like having a supply in the freezer, not to mention the savings of buying in bulk.

What I feed depends on the individual snake. In an ideal world, I would feed only F/T due to the convenience, safety to the snake, and not having to witness the death of the rodent. However, I choose to feed live to my problem eaters because live entices them to eat more consistently, and if they don't eat, I do not have to "waste" any uneaten meals. They just go back into the rodent rack. I absolutely hate having to throw away an uneaten F/T rodent.

I agree with F/T. If your snake eats it then you can stock up. And it also eliminates the chance of a rodent hurting your snake.

I like live or pre-killed feeding.
Live is more fresh than f/t and I can buy live rats cheaper than f/t rodents.
I can buy small rat for 1.75 but when I buy frozen it costs more than 2 bucks and I`ve never been satisfied with f/t rodents. They always don`t look fresh...

I agree, it does depend on the individual snake, all mine will take f/t except one problem child, he absolutely will have nothing to do with it unless it is alive!!!:weirdface
