This is awesome! I love my pits, but I don't trust them enough to put my baby on just yet! Haha

Thanks and I felt the same way before but if you ever try it just take it step by step, get them used to the command leave it then get them comfortable with having a snake near them and eventually on them while giving them high value rewards for leaving it, in this case a high value reward for my dog was lunch meat like ham. And most important keep an eye on your dog and snake. this snake is the only one I'd actually use for this because he's the my calmest one I have

I have one that will sit stay, but idk if she would sit stay with a snake wrapped around her lol. And my bp is just a baby still so she gets scared of anything that isn't me her food or her cage lol

I had my girl over at my parents the other day and they have a dog. I put Nagini around her neck, and the only reaction I got was her (the dog) had her entire body tense up and she looked at me like "What is this thing on me and why does it feel weird?" I won't try that again any time soon! Don't need scout thinking that Nagini is a chew toy!

Yeah my dog did the same thing at first but with enough lunch meat he forgot all about having a snake around him

Too cute! That's a very handsome dog, and of course the snake is beautiful too. :)

My dog (47lb mutt) is actually afraid of the snakes, since I gave him the firm "LEAVE IT" command when I first got them. So now he knows they're off limits, and runs away if they get anywhere near him! My cats, on the other hand..... I trust the 17 year-old, but the others not so much. :colbert:

Is there anyone who thinks this is a bad idea, and could have ended badly?

Is it a bad idea to put just any snake on any dog, Yes. And its also a bad idea to just put a snake around any dog without training the dog to get used to the snake. Out of all my snakes and both my dogs this is the only dog and the only snake I'd use to even try this because I know their behavior. And my snakes are important to me, I wouldn't try this unless I was %100 confident that I wouldn't let anything happen. I took extreme caution when doing this, and i was always ready to separate them if I had to before anything bad could happen.
