First time breeding question
This is my first attempt ever at bp breeding and I have a question for those who've been successful. I introduced my male to my female and they started wrestling hard enough to nearly rock the rack. I mean it was pretty loud- you could hear it in the next room. He's been off feed for at least a couple of weeks. Is there something wrong? Do bps normally wrestle that hard when they begin mating? I removed the male because it seemed so violent I wasn't sure if one or both was being badly stressed. Did I mess up by removing him? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I've looked around older threads but I didn't see any concerning male/female fighting/wrestling when first introduced.

Hate to break it to you, but it sounds like you probably have 2 males

Re: First time breeding question
Thanks everyone! I'm going to have them re-sexed. One of them I am confident is a male; I purchased him from a reputable breeder who knows what he is doing. The other one is a bit more suspect as far as being correctly sexed. I have never sexed any of my snakes myself before (I don't have the experience and haven't been taught so I have been afraid to do any damage to them by trying myself.) but I have a fellow herper here who has so I'm going to get help from that individual.
Re: First time breeding question
Well, you guys were right. Looks like they are both male. It explains a lot, it does. Time to change plans I think.
