On Sunday I fed my bps. I have my normals on eco earth and my albinod on aspen. I was feeding my albinos and when my make struck he got a large piece of adorn in his mouth that got stuck between the roof of his mouth from his top teeth to the back of his jaw if that makes sense. He couldn't close his right side of his mouth. He was shaking his head and opening his mouth to get it out but was really stuck in there. I ended up having to get tweezers and get it out. Anyone else had this problem with adorn bedding?

I keep my ball pythons on coconut husk, and my boa on cypress mulch. It happens sometimes. If they don't get it out themselves I just help them get it out. I'd say it's pretty normal.

I was lucky not to get bit. But man I've never had a snake move so much in my hands lol. I'll be switching to eco earth for them after this lol.

I know a lot of people on here feed in cage/enclosure. But this is one of the reasons I feed in a separate cage. I know in the wild no one would be there to help, but it's my money/snake if something goes wrong.:)

I feed live so I also feed in a seperate container.

i encounter this problem a lot with wood substrate. i used to take the debris out with tweezers, but i tried experimenting to see if the the snakes can get them out by themselves. they seem ok the next day. i do not know whether the piece of wood shaving ended up inside or out.

I keep my hatchlings on aspen and I also feed them live on it. Pinkies or wet prey will get aspen stuck all over them so I try to avoid that by putting newspaper down before feeding. They are going to get some aspen in their mouth, it happens, they'll likely be fine. I've never had an issue and have pulled aspen out of their mouths.

I have had that happen to a few of mine also, usually they can get it out themselves. I have also been told that aspen is soft enough it will pass through their digestive tract without causing any problems...:confusd:
