Is something wrong?

Within the last 3 days I noticed my pastel has a strong stink to him. I clean his tub out every morning before his daily handling. The smell started faint and now is strong what could it be? I tried letting him soak in warm water but nothing has changed.

It sounds like scent glands.

Woke up thins morning to clean the tub and handle the snake and he was back to normal no more smell. But I would still like to know what that could have been if anyone has any idea. Thanks
