    Feeding after long fast.
My two piebalds went on an extended 9 month fast. They both were just under a year old and were very aggressive eaters when they stopped. Eating both live and frozen rats.
They went from 600gm to 550gm and 350gm to 325gm. Both were still active and alert but seemed shy when prey was introduced.
Last week they killed and ate their first meal. :D
my question is, how long before I offer another prey item?

    Thanks!

U could try the same schedule. I had mine on a 7 day schedule after his four months strike. But each snake is diffrent. I also fed him a couple small meals for a few weeks till he was back to normal them gave him one full meal when I knew he was back on schedule.

I just curious, did something happen with their husbandry? That seems like quite a drop. I would personally put on a five day, to they put some of the weight back on.

No, they were kept exactly as the other 6 BP's.

Well I would still try to put some weight back on him with a five day feeding schedule.

    Thanks.
I was concerned about feeding too much too soon and 'overloading' his system. Wasn't sure if I should start slow and work up to regular feeding schedule.

A 5-7 day feeding schedule should be fine. And if they stop eating again try asf's or other rats or mice.
