Do Ball Pythons burrow when they are in shed?
    Hello all,
Just wondering if Ball Pythons burrow in their substrate when they are shedding. Right now my girls is burrowing under cypress mulch, wet moss and a log. She has been burrowing for the past hour or so. I thought she was in shed last night when I handled her, but I was not sure. I boosted her humidity level and added cypress mulch and dampened moss to help keep the humidity up. Just wondering if anybody else notices their snakes burrowing under moist substrate when they are in shed.
    Please, let me know.
    Thank you!

Mine burrow when they shed and when they don't. A good way to tell if they're in shed is by their belly. It will always be on the pink side. With my Pied, it's hard to tell when he's in shed so that's my little trick.

Yes, some of my balls like to burrow even they have hidebox. i think they feel more secure and comfort by burrowing.

Thank you guys! She has not shed her skin yet, but she is almost at that stage.
