    Ways to Treat Mites?
I've had my ball python for a little over a month and within the past week I've started noticing him soaking in his water bowl a lot lately and after he gets out there's small black dots in the water, so I decided to check him all over for mites and I found some. I was wondering if anyone knew any ways to treat them without having to buy some expensive treatment? I mean, I will if I absolutely have to but I was wondering if there were any cheaper methods anyone here has done before that's worked?
    Thanks! :)

Alot of people say the strips work well and have no ill effect on the python.

Diatomaceous earth (DE) sprinkled all over the substrate....kills all arthropods, it's not instant because it's not poison, but every bug will eventually die and future infestations will be prevented...

DE is is also very effective in controlling ants, lice and other nasty critters that used to attack my rodent colonies.
