ok i got a hold of a scale. adrian who is 30in is about 410grams. is this a healthy weight? shes 5months old. rex is 450 grams and also around 30in. is this healthy for him. what is the percentage that the food should be compared to the weight and how do you figure it out. thanks guys.

As long as you can't see their ribs or anything and feel pretty strong, they are doing fine. Most of the juvi boa's I've seen all seem skinnier than you'd think, its just how boas are. They generally don't start to dramatically thicken up until they are full grown.

I believe the rule of thumb is to feed 10% to 20% of body weight per feeding, but I am sure Kara or one of our other breeders would be more sure about this.

I feed roughly 10-15% of body weight per meal and only once weekly , Some breeders will say to feed twice weekly but I feel its on the bounds of "power feeding" jason sounds like you have a couple very well started balls there and right on track with feedings, as far as your male goes he is fine my philosiphy on males is if they eat feed em what you can while they will

Everytime I feed my snakes I take there weight before hand. My ball is approx 4 1/2 feet and weighs about 1175grams and my corn snake is also about 4 1/2 feet and weighs approx 625grams.
