Re: PVC enclosure questions
Ive got my old girl in a boaphile 421D coupe, which is 4x2x1. Humidity is nothing. I dont even bother checking it any more because its always fine and ive had perfect sheds every time with no real work on my part. The rhp works great. Fantastic product I will use for long time to come.
Cleaning can be kinda difficult. Im a tall guy so I have very long arms. My girlfriend, who is pretty short, cannot clean that cage. She can't get her arms all the way back. That cage is only 12" tall, which makes it a narrower space. My 18" tall cage is much easier to clean.
I like the pvc's a lot. Ive tried just about every type of caging out there and pvcs are the winner in my book

Re: PVC enclosure questions
I've only recently switched to a pvc cage, an Animal Plastics T10 (48x24x15) and so far I absolutely love it. As stated in the previous posts, humidity has been perfect, 55-60 with water bowl away from heat, will rise when bowl moved to hot side. We keep our home on the cool side year round so I use both flexwatt and a RHP controlled by a herpstat 2. Has been working perfectly for me with hot side 88-90 cool side 79-81 ambient 82-85. Cleaning has been easy enough.
Re: PVC enclosure questions
The only problem with PVC enclosures is that sometimes the humidity gets too high so they have to be aired out. Other than that, RHPs work amazing to keep ambient temps up and the terrariums are as easy to clean as any enclosure out there.
I highly recommend getting a proportional thermostat (like Herpstat or Vivarium Electronic) for thr RHP and your life will be cake.
I personally love my Animal Plastics enclosures. They look great and work even better! Besides my two enclosures, I have a T10 on its way.
Here's my setup.

Or you can add a fan to the room to drop humidity...as I found out. Ap cages are GREAT! And the customer service was wonderful.
